The Mables @ Franklin Theatre TONIGHT (8/14)


Nathan Griffin, Brian James, Josh Preston & Ben Salley are The Mables. As purveyors of the half-swank, The Mables capture the charm of Southern soul and the mysterious beauty of Delta blues. This Tuesday night, they'll be recording a live album for one night only at the historic Franklin Theatre (map) in downtown Franklin, TN. The doors for this event open at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm. This is a FREE event. You are welcome to bring friends and loved ones. Seating will be first come, first served. We can't wait to play for you!

We're super excited to announce the release of Brian James' debut release The Wild and Free EP!! Here is a brief description of the EP:

In songwriting, extracting simplicity from a life fully lived is a delicate endeavor.  It requires patience, persistence and an unwavering pursuit of honesty. When all of these elements align, things get exciting.

And that's how it began….

Brian James' The Wild and Free EP is downright unlikely. Within these 5 songs, we find the humor of Prine, the inflection of Dylan and the swagger of Helm. There's a beauty in its lack of polish. There's a timelessness that lives in the arrangements. All the while, Brian James remains grounded and observant, allowing the songs on The Wild and Free EP to exist on their own as musical monuments to love, laughter and heartbreak.
