LA Times Story About Warner Music vs. YouTube and MATM Friends The Whappers

Imagine our surprise this morning when we read about Will Chatham of The Whappers in the LA Times! The LA Times wrote a piece about the on-going and fan-alienating battle between Warner Music and YouTube. You can grab the details from the story link below but in short, Warner Music is issuing take down notices for any videos containing music that they (Warner Music) publishes. After you've finished the story, don't forget to check out The Whappers site and definitely see them play whenever you can because they're amazing.

The New Whole Usuals on the Radio...

We at MATM have been working on a really cool project (if we do say so ourselves)! Andrew Dolfie sat in the studio and recorded radio liners for promotion of The New Whole Usuals' single "No Name Sally." What makes this so awesome is that each of the radio liners is a completely unique composition that specifically references the radio station and their tagline. You should head over and check it out if you would like to spend 3 minutes listening to 17 of the wackiest radio liners EVER!

MATM Video of the Week (01.12.09)

This week's video is from Theresa Andersson for her song "Na Na Na". This video (along with her album, apparently) was recorded in her kitchen. Her skills with regards to looping and creating her own thing by herself are absolutely stunning. She'll be appearing on Conan O'Brien on February 4th so don't miss it!!
