Bread + Bagel, Bowling Green, KY - Thank You!!

I've first got to say thanks to Jeff Dehut for the incredibly cool sketch you're looking at right now. He's got a website @ www.explosivelines.com.

We had a great time at Revolution 91.7 on Wednesday night and at Bread + Bagel on the following nights. The food was incredible, they had Brooklyn Lager (which, living in the South, BL is seemingly scarce) and the bands that The New Whole Usuals and I played with were a really amazing group of people.

Thanks to everyone that called into the station and that came out to the shows. We'll be back soon!!! - JP

MATM Video of the Week (07.07.08)

MUTO a wall-painted animation by BLU from blu on Vimeo

Our friends Mike and Melissa Prescott turned us on to this guy Blu. He's an animator and this video is described as "an ambiguous animation painted on public walls". It's really amazing. The music in the video was composed by Andrea Martignoni but we're having an impossible time finding anything out about Andrea on the net. If any loyal and informed MATM blog readers could shed light on this person, we'd greatly appreciate it. Enjoy!!

Pay what you want for The Pirate's Dilemma by Matt Mason

One of the best (and many would argue only) books we've read this year is The Pirate's Dilemma by Matt Mason. An electronic copy of this book is now available and you name the price a la Radiohead. Here's a little bit about the book:

"The Pirate’s Dilemma tells the story of how youth culture drives innovation and is changing the way the world works. It offers understanding and insight for a time when piracy is just another business model, the remix is our most powerful marketing tool and anyone with a computer is capable of reaching more people than a multi-national corporation."

We hope you enjoy this book and we're going to go wash ourselves now cause we're feeling a bit like Oprah. The link is below.
